THE JARGON SONG
by
Jarmo(to the tune of "I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major General")
There's CPU and VDU and iMAC, IBM PC,
And RAM and ROM and CD-R and HDD and DVD,
And PCI and USB and LAN, MAN, WAN and 10Base-T,
And Microsoft NT, XP and URL and ISP...
There's XML, SGML and common old HTML,
And Java, CGI and Perl all running over AOL,
There's dot-com and .EXE and DLL and MP3
... and PDF, .TXT, and JPEG, GIF and BMP.
There's GPS and GSM and PDA and PPC
And SMS, GPRS and WAP to milk before 3G
And EPOC, Bluetooth, Blackberry,
And PalmOS and Windows CE
And wireless LANs conforming to 802.11b
There's CRM and ERM and BPR and ERP,
And CAD/CAM, KM, ASP and PSA & JIT
And SMTP and POP3 and RSA and PGP,
...and SSL, HTTP and FTP and all things 'e-'
There's Wysiwyg, WP and DTP and WIMP GUI
And ISO and BSI and ETSI and IEEE
There's BCS and CSA and FAST and feisty BSA,
And HPLs such as VB
And C++, C# and C...
Techies seem to get a buzz from TLAs and jargon,
But buzzwords shouldn't titilate you with a raging hard-on!
